The Plantation Project, under the direction of Claire Beckman (co-founder of Brooklyn's Brave New World Rep) presents an inaugural, site-specific staged reading of The Plantation, Beckman's adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard. This immersive production on-book will feature costumes, live music and an Equity cast.

HERE begins its 2013-2014 producing season with the premiere of the site-specific Artistic Director production, Trade Practices, by Kristin Marting & David Evans Morris. Trade Practices, a new work exploring the notion of 'value' against the backdrop of the booms and busts of the past decade, is set to play October 18 - November 3. Official Opening Night is set for Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00pm. Trade Practices will take place at a site in lower Manhattan's Financial District; address to be announced.

Stamp Brothers Present PYGMALION as Inaugural Production, Now thru 7/14

George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion will mark the premiere of Stamp Brothers Productions. The inaugural play will be showing in the 133rd Street Art Center at 308 West 133rd Street. Show dates are today, July 12th-14th at 8pm, including a 2pm matinee on the 13th. Stamp Brothers Productions is a Non-Profit organization using a 'Pay-What-You-Can' Ticket program. This means that the production is entirely free; just pay what you feel you can afford to see the show. Tickets are received at the door the night of the show.
Shakespeare in the Parking Lot to Present RICHARD III, 8/1-17

To commemorate the bones of Richard III being found in an English parking lot, The Drilling Company will present Shakespeare's tragedy of the crook-back king August 1 to 17 in the Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets as the concluding production of the 2013 season of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot. Hamilton Clancy, Artistic Director, will direct and Alessandro Colla will be featured as the king.
