About Face Theatre Announces AFTERNOONS OF FREE THEATRE FOR SENIORS
About Face Theatre is pleased to announce AFTERNOONS OF FREE THEATRE (AFT) FOR SENIORS, a new initiative providing 80 economically-disadvantaged seniors at Chicago's Town Hall Apartments (managed by Center on Halsted and Heartland Alliance) one free ticket to each performance in About Face's 2018-19 season, including transportation to and from the theatre, and the inclusion of any additional services differently-abled patrons may require.
Canton Symphony Orchestra Announces 2017-18 Masterworks Series
This year marks the beginning of the 80th season for the Canton Symphony Orchestra. For our 2017-2018 season, we plan to bring concerts full of color and life to the audience. This season brings back favorite guests of seasons past, and features some of our own musicians soloing with the orchestra. Some concerts include favorite standards in the classical repertoire, and others expose concert-goers to new music or lesser-known masterpieces for the orchestra. We hope to see you at our concerts, and maybe even become a subscriber to the Canton Symphony Orchestra!
Violinist Justine Lamb-Budge Named Concertmaster of Canton Symphony
The Canton Symphony Orchestra has named violinist Justine Lamb-Budge its new concertmaster. Following extensive auditions, including four finalists, Lamb-Budge emerged as the clear leader to hold this open position. With the departure of Lauren Roth to the Tucson Symphony and prior to that, Nathan Olson to the Dallas Symphony, the need for a new concertmaster opened up. Auditions were announced at the beginning of August.

UglyRhino Productions announces the addition of two themed dance parties to the schedule for their interactive haunted warehouse experience,Warehouse of Horrors: Gowanus '73, based on true events that happened in and around The Brooklyn Lyceum in the 1970s. On Today, October 26 following the show at 8pm there will be a 70s themed dance party featuring DJ Brian Blackout and on Wednesday, October 31 there will be a special Halloween costume party. Admission to both parties is free after 10:30pm and all costumed guests will receive a free specialty shot.
