New Generation Theatrical Announces 2023 Season with Slate of Seven Shows
New Generation Theatrical, an Orlando-based non-profit that supports the theatrical arts, has announced its 2023 Season with a slate of seven shows, including two original productions written and directed by New Generation Theatrical producer Michael Knight. In addition, in January, New Generation Theatrical will present a preseason run of last season’s sold-out show, Gothic Manor.
HENRY IV, PART 1 Comes to Orlando Shakes
Shakespeare's epic Fire and Reign series continues with a dynamic production of Henry IV, Part 1, produced by Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF. This production will run in repertory February 19 - March 21, 2020 along with Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers, as adapted by Catherine Bush. Ask anyone to describe the Three Musketeers, and you'll get the usual answers: three heroes, bound together in brotherhood, inseparable in the most dire circumstances. They were a holy trinity of masculinity and friendship, the #SquadGoals of the 19th century. But unless one were intimately familiar with Alexandre Dumas' novel or its many adaptations, five will get you ten the average Joe today would be remiss to actually name all of them. That's not the fault of the average Joe, but rather the reputation that precedes these fictional characters. Most would be familiar with what they are, not necessarily who they are.

Irving Berlin's Music Shines At Winter Park Playhouse
The Winter Park Playhouse continues it's series of professional musicals with their Fall production of I Love A Piano featuring a score of Irving Berlin favorites! The production runs September 21 through October 14, 2018.Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinee performances at 2 p.m. and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
