BIO

Lauren grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. She began her acting career in elementary school when she landed the plum role of "Moving Chair" in Beauty and the Beast. She had eight lines, including such showstoppers as "Sit here madamoiselle!" and "I think you'll find me quite comfortable." She also wore a dazzling shirt resembling the finest upholstery one can imagine. She was hooked.

Throughout her school career, she went on to portray such wide and varied roles as a donkey in the Christmas pageant, the Tinman in the Wizard of Oz, and Sister Saint Awesome in Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? (They were allowed to choose their own names). When Lauren was a senior at Archbishop Prendergast High School, she was cast as Cosette in the new Les Mis School Edition. As someone who possessed their own mini French flag and had made a personal Revolutionary sash from red, white, and blue scraps of fabric, Lauren was very excited about this. As fate would have it, Les Mis closed on Broadway that very year, and Lauren was among a group of high school students chosen to sing on the Broadway stage in a commemorative event after the final performance. She got to wear an original costume, meet her idol Inspector Javert, and enjoy some ah-mazing cous-cous at the afterparty.

At DeSales University, Lauren spent some quality time with Plato and Freud and earned her B.A. as a double major in Philosophy and Psychology. She continued to study voice privately throughout her college career, training in both the classical and musical theatre repetoire. Favorite college roles include Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitor and Cinderella in Into the Woods. She studied abroad at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, where she snagged the opportunity to sing a duet of O Holy Night with a Josh Groban look-alike on a campus with its own crumbling castle. She did not find any leprachauns during her trip, much to her chagrin.

After graduating, Lauren went on to perform at regional theatres in several different states, such as the Fulton Theatre, Media Theatre, PSF, Murry's Dinner Playhouse, and Broward Stage Door Theatre in Coral Springs, FL. She looks forward to whatver adventures lie ahead! :)
