Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) honored outstanding members of the Los Angeles community at the annual Big Bash Gala on Friday, November 15, 2019, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills. Nina Jacobson, Founder and CEO of Color Force productions, received the 2019 Sherry Lansing Award, entrepreneur Michael Green received the 2019 Walt Disney Executive of the Year Award, Anthony Lynn, Head Coach for the Los Angeles Chargers, received the inaugural Defender of Potential Award in absentia. Kim Baldonado, the NBCLA Emmy Award winning reporter, was honored as the 2019 BBBSLA Big Sister of the Year. Mike Shumard was the evening's emcee and led the fundraising appeal. Actress Heather Hemmens (If Loving You Is Wrong; Roswell, New Mexico) presented her testimonial as a mentor and 'Big Sister'. The BBBSLA Big Bash Gala benefits youth facing adversity from underserved communities in Los Angeles.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) hosted its annual "Accessories for Success" Scholarship Luncheon on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills. The afternoon fundraiser honored Mike Daly, Producer-Songwriter and Executive Director of A&R and Music Publishing at Disney Music Group, and Trisha Cardoso, The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation President and Chief Giving Officer, with the "Excellence in Mentoring Award".

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) held its annual Accessories for Success Scholarship Luncheon, on Sunday, April 22nd at the Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills and presented by City National Bank.  The event honored three exemplary women, who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and support for children facing adversity in Los Angeles. The event also presented a record 108 scholarships to college bound youth from the BBBSLA program.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) hosts its annual Accessories for Success Scholarship Luncheon on Sunday, April 22nd at the Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills presented by City National Bank. Three exemplary women, who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and support for children facing adversity in Los Angeles, will be honored. Tracy D. Underwood, Senior Vice President of ABC Signature, and Laurie Zaks, President of Mandeville Television, will receive the “Excellence in Mentoring Award”. Martha Henderson, Executive Vice President of Entertainment Banking at City National Bank will receive the “Innovator Award”.  BBBSLA “Big” Kelly Sullivan will emcee the luncheon, and stylemeister Lloyd Boston will emcee the fashion show. Rebecca Campbell, Nancy Daniels, Stephen Galloway, Anne Globe, NJ Goldston, Barbara Lazaroff, Laura Lizer, Nicole Lorey, Loyola Marymount University, Lori McCreary, Kate Nichols, Charon Harroun Peirce, Nina Shaw, Sandra Stern, and Nancy Taylor are Honorary Co-Chairs.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) honored Cindy Holland, Vice President, Original Content at Netflix with the 2017 Sherry Lansing Award at its annual Big Bash gala, October 20, 2017, at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills. The award recognizes an individual who provides an inspiring and positive role model to our city's youth. The gala raised $535,000 to support BBBSLA programs.
