White Theatre in KC presents 'A Funny THing Happened on the Way to the Forum'
It's a comedy tonight, complete with togas, as the Stephen Sondheim musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum takes the stage of the White Theatre at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City (The J). The hilarious musical opens Saturday evening, Feb. 13 and continues for an additional seven performances. The production is directed and choreographed by Chris McCoy with musical direction by Kevin Bogan. Performance dates are Feb. 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 at 7:30 p.m.?February 14, 21, 28 at 2 p.m.

BWW Preview: The Fringe Festival Comes to Kansas City
The Fringe Festival returns to Kansas City from July 16 through July 26. The festival will be held at 20 venues in the metropolitan area, including the Arts Asylum, Unicorn Theatre, and Union Station among others. Over 116 performing groups, many returning from the 2014 Fringe Festival, will produce the over 480 shows during the two week span. The Grand Hall of Union Station and the Blue Galley in Aquarius/Vulcan's Forge will host the festivals visual artists.

Lasso of Truth, a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere, opened on Saturday night January 31 at the Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri. Johnny Wolfe directs this multimedia experience, which looks at the life of William Moulton Marston, the inventor of the lie detector and creator of the comic book hero Wonder Woman. The use of video and comic book style slides add additional humor to an already amusing and sensual production. Lasso of Truth is a co-production with the University of Missouri at Kansas City Theatre.
