BIO

Born in Melbourne, Australia, Laura Iris Hill received her training as an actor at the Ballarat Academy of Performing Arts (BAPA). Although predominantly theatre-based the training at BAPA has laid the foundations for many fruitful years performing in theatre, short film, feature film, tv, voice-overs, children’s theatre, Shakespeare, webseries, audio books and numerous readings in Australia as well as Tokyo and New York, the fabulous city where she currently resides.

Isle Of Shoals Launches The Lance Series

Isle of Shoals Productions, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theatre company, is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with THE LANCE SERIES. The Series is named in honor of the late Lance Hewett, Founding Artistic Director and Guiding Light of IOS for 19 memorable years, and will consist of staged readings of 5 wildly diverse new plays, chosen from nearly a hundred submitted in a nationwide search.

Zodiac Math, written and performed by Elizabeth May is equal parts 90's pop music video, slumber party seance, and honest confession. Zodiac Math is an evening of intimate storytelling, scored by anachronistic alt-pop. Driven by family folklore of a childhood death curse, Elizabeth May explores questions of sexual identity and twin magic. She's endlessly searching for the missing half of a broken heart necklace, and laying herself bare in a dark comedic ritual that transforms the audience into her imaginary friends. Zodiac Math was developed as part of The New Collectives' Daily Development Workshop at IRT Theatre.
