Laura Gallagher Byrne

Laura is has extensive performance work in both theatre, television, film and radio. She has taught acting and interview technique, as well as as vocal diction and voice for the The Musical Theatre. As Director of Education at The Nantucket Dreamland, Laura serves as producer, director, actor and vocal coach for a full artistic season of live theatre for youth and families including drama, comedy, musicals and staged readings. She earned her Masters in Theatre Education with Emerson College, and has participated in both teaching and acting intensives including Shakespeare & Company in the Berkshires, Lincoln Center Theatre Education in New York City, and American Alliance for Theatre in Education. Laura possesses a unique understanding of the creative process, and has a intuitive connection to character, style, time and place.
