2021 Fred Award Finalists Announced
FRED Award judges have chosen three finalists to compete at tomorrow's final festival showcase, Electric Kiwi Last Laughs. The FRED, one of the highest commendations in our comedy industry, is awarded to the Best New Zealand Show in the 2021 NZ Intl Comedy Festival with Best Foods Mayo.
BWW Feature: AUCKLAND FRINGE at Auckland Fringe
The 2018 Auckland Fringe is the first annual iteration of the festival - an organic result of the momentum created from the success of the 2017 Fringe. The Auckland Fringe has existed in various guises since 2009, but it wasn't until the current Festival Director Lydia Zanetti took over during make-or-break times, and carried off an explosive Auckland Fringe in 2017 that we've seen it start to show its teeth.

Joe Gulla's SLEEPING WITH THE FISH to Open Village Playwrights' Pride Celebration
Joe Gulla's 'Sleeping With The Fish' will open the Village Playwrights's 'Gay Pride and Prejudice: LGBTQ Stories' this Wednesday, June 22 at the LGBT Community Center. These staged readings of short plays were curated in celebration of Gay Pride. Written by Gulla and directed by Brian Rardin, 'Sleeping With The Fish' stars Jason Nuzzo, Laura Daniel Koch and the playwright himself.
Musicals Tonight's DO RE MI Revival Begins Tonight
DO RE MI (1960) has music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Garson Kanin wrote the libretto and directed the production. DO RE MI opened on December 26, 1960, and ran for 400 performances.
New Musical HELL'S BELLES to Conclude Off-Broadway Run Next Month
