Play on Shakespeare Releases Spring and Summer 2022 Season
Play On Shakespeare, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to exploring the world of Shakespeare in performance through translation and adaptation, today announces their spring/summer 2022 season. Lue Douthit, President and Co-Founder says: 'Well, the theater world is definitely opening up. We literally mean 'world' (Prague, Guam, England) and suddenly there are ten professional productions of Play On translations opening in the next few months, including two in San Francisco (African-American Shakespeare Company and Cal Shakes). We are delighted that there are so many opportunities for audiences to gather together again to see and hear Shakespeare differently. Play on!'

The Atlanta Shakespeare Company at The Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse is set to present William Wycherley’s Restoration comedy, The Country Wife from April 16th through May 1, 2022. Tickets for the production, which is directed by John Ammerman, are $15 for the General Admission preview on Thursday, April 14th, and $20 for the General Admission preview on Friday, April 15th.

Cast Announced for 'WEDDING BAND' at The Artistic Home
The Artistic Home will open its 2017-18 season with a lesser known, but wholly timely piece: WEDDING BAND: A LOVE/HATE STORY IN BLACK AND WHITE, by eminent African-American playwright and author Alice Childress. It will open to the press Sunday, October 29 at 7:00 pm, following previews from October 25 - 28.
Sundance Institute and Time Warner Foundation Select 11 Artist Fellows for Grants
Eleven diverse independent artists have been selected to receive support from the 2017 Sundance Institute | Time Warner Foundation Fellowship. These Fellowships and accompanying grants are part of the non-profit Institute's year-round efforts to discover and support independent artists from diverse backgrounds in getting their work made and seen by a wide audience.
