Berkshire Pulse Choreographers Present Intergenerational Performances At Chesterwood
Berkshire Pulse, South County's dynamic dance and performing arts education center located in the heart of Housatonic, is presenting Spirits of Chesterwood, an intergenerational dance project, at Chesterwood, the historic home, studio, and gardens of sculptor Daniel Chester French (1850-1931), on Thursday, July 27th at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
Oregon Shakespeare Festival presents 30th Annual DAEDALUS PROJECT
The Oregon Shakespeare Festival invites the public to its 30th annual Daedalus Project, a benefit for HIV/AIDS organizations. The 2017 Daedalus Project, themed "On a Wing and a Prayer: Witnessing 30 Years," includes a full day of fund-raising activities on Monday, Aug. 21, culminating in the Daedalus Play Reading of Cabaret and the Daedalus Variety Show, which are both likely to sell out.
Schedule Announced for 6th Annual Made in the Berkshires Festival
The 6th annual festival features cutting-edge theatrical works performed as staged readings, live music, film, short stories and dance in a festival atmosphere like no other. New and innovative pieces as well as established work will be presented by local Berkshire County playwrights, actors, directors, musicians and performers. Featured as performance blocks, Made in the Berkshires will allow audiences to enjoy the breadth and depth of the artistic talent that has landed in Berkshire County while celebrating the best in the visual and performing arts. Professional artists and artists-in-the-making gather to share their talent with the Berkshire community. The festival will once again be curated by Hilary Somers Deely and Barbara Sims; two local artists who have helped create the rich cultural tapestry that permeates the area.
