BWW Review: Bennett, Moroschak and Scott Shine in Street Theatre Company's BE MORE CHILL

One need venture no further than Street Theatre Company's Be More Chill a?" directed by Sawyer Wallace, it's one of the year's best musicals a?" for just such a theatrical adventure. Starring Seth Bennett, Briar Moroschak and Garett Scott, three up-and-coming performers for whom their futures seem unlimited, Be More Chill only recently closed out a Broadway run before its Nashville premiere, which continues through this weekend.
BWW Review: Theater Bug's SHOWMANCE is The Timeless Musical for Theater People of All Ages

Cori Anne Laemmel continues to do amazing things at The Theater Bug a?' whether it's creating new and compelling art, engaging in revealing collaborations with other creative individuals, or, more importantly, providing a safe space for a new generation of young theater artists eager to transform their own lives through self-expression a?' and there is absolutely no reason to believe that she's anywhere near a stopping point. And, because of her sincere endeavors to give back in much the same way her own life has been enriched by theater, Nashville directors may rest assured that the bench of skilled and capable actors willing (yearning!) to take to the stage for years to come is indeed very deep.
BWW Review: Nashville Shakespeare Festival's Magical MIDSUMMER Heralds a 30th Anniversary

In her welcoming note to audiences at the 2018 version of Nashville Shakespeare Festival's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream - the 30th anniversary of the company's annual Shakespeare in the Park festivities at Centennial Park (which now is without question the place to be on a midsummer's night in Music City, all other artistic offerings that abound notwithstanding) - executive artistic director Denice Hicks takes a fanciful look ahead to 2048, and suggests that she'll either be in the audience or, quite possibly, in the cast of whatever show happens to be onstage some 30 years hence. Let me just make this prediction by way of critical pronouncement: Denice Hicks, then 88, will once again be playing the ethereal Puck in NSF's then-current Midsummer and I, who will be a spry 91-year-old at the time (or possibly a critical hologram), will be in the audience once again to marvel at her ageless skills and timeless artistry.
Christmas in July: Help the Anchorage Concert Association Give Away Tickets

Anchorage Concert Association's presentation of The Nutcracker every Thanksgiving weekend is an annual tradition for many families, and this July, people have an opportunity to extend that tradition to others who may need a little help this holiday season. For every ticket to The Nutcracker purchased from July 10 (when tickets go on sale) to July 31, the Anchorage Concert Association will give away a ticket to someone who would love to see The Nutcracker but couldn't otherwise be able to attend.
