Frequently referred to as 'the Mount Rushmore of country music,' The Highwaymen was American country music's first bona fide supergroup, an epic quartet of outlaw country's pioneering stars. Celebrating their impact is the same band the company engaged to pay toe-tapping tribute to George Jones in 2016: The Grand Tour, led by guitarist and vocalist Larry Tobias of New York City and featuring Andrew Crowe, who last graced the Bangor Opera House stage in Rock of Ages (2016) and previously starred in Duck Hunter Shoots Angel (2016) and Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash (2015).
