John Cariani to Perform at The Company Theatre Group's Annual Benefit
Tony Award nominated actor, celebrated playwright of Almost, Maine and currently starring in Broadway's A Band's Visit John Cariani (Fiddler on the Roof, Tony Nom.; Something Rotten) will join The Company Theatre Group (Lou Scarpati, Managing Artistic Director) as they celebrate 10 years with their benefit The After Valentine's Day We Love Love (but not always) Fundraising Extravaganza on Monday, February 26 at 8pm at their brand new home, The Hackensack Performing Arts Center (102 State Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601), tickets are $40.
Bergen County Players Receive Community Theatre of the Year Award
The Bergen County Players has been named NJACT Community Theatre of the Year! NJACT (New Jersey Association of Community Theaters) is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting local theater around the state. The Community Theatre of the Year recognition is a special Perry Award given to a New Jersey theater organization that has made a significant contribution to the community. The Perry Awards are often nicknamed the Tony Awards of community theater.
