Due to high fan-demand, Five Finger Death Punch and Breaking Benjamin have announced an expansion of their co-headlining North American Outdoor Amphitheater tour with additional dateswhich will take both bands through fall 2018. The group's launched their massive summer tour withelectrifying performances and stage production to ravenous packed crowds in Seattle on July 16.The tour is co-produced by Live Nation and Frank Productions (see all dates below) and features special guests Nothing More and Bad Wolves on the current summer leg. On the Fall leg of the tour, global 2018 breakout rock band Bad Wolves will once again join the trek on select dates and Swedish heavy weights In Flames on other select shows. Adaptor and director David Catlin brings his daring new adaptation of the classic seafaring tale to Arena Stage, using bold trapeze and acrobatic work to bring to life Captain Ahab's harrowing quest for the legendary great while whale. Straight from its acclaimed 2015 debut at Lookingglass Theatre Company, the production fuses innovative staging with aerial storytelling. Based on the book by Herman Melville, Moby Dick is a co-production with the Alliance Theatre and South Coast Repertory and runs now through December 24, 2016 in the Kreeger Theater. Arena Stage Names New Board Chair
Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces that Judith N. Batty, a Trustee since 2010, has been elected by the Board of Trustees to a three-year term as Board Chair, effective July 1, 2016. Beth Newburger Schwartz, who served in that position since July 2013 and as a Trustee since 1993, will begin a new role as Board President. Outgoing Board President David Shiffrin, a Trustee since 1992, will continue to serve on the Board as a Vice Chair.

Anthony Giardina's Off-Broadway smash hit THE CITY OF CONVERSATION, about a Georgetown political hostess, makes its Washington, D.C. debut at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. Following his direction of the 2014 world premiere at Lincoln Center Theater, Tony Award winner Doug Hughes returns to direct this political drama spanning three decades, from Carter's presidency through the Reagan era and ending with Obama's inauguration. THE CITY OF CONVERSATION runs January 29-March 6, 2016 in the Fichandler Stage. The company just kicked off rehearsals and you can check out photos below!
Tommy Emmanuel Inks New Management Deal With ABI
Two-time GRAMMY award nominee Tommy Emmanuel announced his move to ABI for worldwide artist management. ABI, based out of Nashville, TN, is a new management company run by Aaron Frank and Brian Penix, formed with Darin Lashinsky of NS2 and Fred and Larry Frank of Frank Productions.
Chris Moore Launches CMoore Live
?Chris Moore, a 22-year veteran of the concert business, opened the curtain on CMoore Live, a Boise-based, full-service event management and promotion company. Moore, formerly President of Knitting Factory Presents, will be the CEO of CMoore Live and will manage all aspects of the company. CMoore Live will produce and promote events in arenas, amphitheaters, and PACs all over the country, with a primary focus on the Pacific Northwest.

Mesa Arts Center today announced its 2014-2015 Performing Live Season, which begins with Lyle Lovett & His Large Band on July 24, and includes performances with Tony Bennett, MythBusters, Bill Cosby, Joshua Bell, Evil Dead the Musical, Molly Ringwald, and many more. The shows unveiled today are in addition to the six series packages announced on May 1, including Broadway on Center, Classical, Dance, Jazz, National Geographic Live, and Spoken World.

Park City Institute celebrates its 11th summer of presenting the St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights concert series at Deer Valley Resort with ten, powerhouse concerts: The Bacon Brothers (June 28), Punch Brothers (July 6), Dierks Bentley (July 24), Kix Brooks (July 31), Muscle Shoals Live and Lisa Fischer (August 3), Five For Fighting (August 16), Trampled by Turtles (August 19), Nashville Cafe (August 23), Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers (August 30) and a TBA show. All concerts are slated to be held rain or shine at Deer Valley Resort's Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Tickets go on sale to PCPAF members on Wednesday, April 9 and are available for purchase by the general public on Wednesday, April 16.

Howard Hawks, the quintessential Hollywood director known for his mastery of many genres, will be the subject of a complete retrospective at Museum of the Moving Image from today, September 7 through November 10, 2013. The Museum will present 39 features. All of the films will be shown in 35mm-many in stunning restorations-except for Red Line 7000, which will be shown in 16mm.
