Art House Productions Announces 2021-2022 Inkubator Playwrights
Art House Productions has announced the 2021-2022 cohort of its INKubator Program. INKubator is a year-long generative process for a select group of 6 playwrights in residence at Art House Productions. This year's playwrights are Jake Brasch, Nay Harris, Justice Hehir, Riley Elton McCarthy, Christian Mendonça, and Melissa Toomey.

Today the governor ordered that 100% of non-essential workers must stay home; effectively shutting down the city. We are in the midst of an unprecedented crisis. However, this world, our one singular world, has been in crisis for some time, from sociopolitical & institutionalized oppression to the growing climate emergency.
I KILLED THE COW Begins Next Week at Chicago Fringe Festival
New York-based theatre collective The Herd will present its one-woman show I KILLED THE COW as part of the 2018 Chicago Fringe Festival. After an extended run in New York City at the United Solo Festival in October 2017, I KILLED THE COW will perform September 1-3 at The Playhouse at Jefferson Park (4766 N Milwaukee Ave.) in Chicago as the third leg on its national tour.

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival, the official Shakespeare Festival of the State of Michigan, brings a Season Of Rebellion to the Great Lakes region with As You Like It, Richard II, and the Civil War drama The Killer Angels, a play by Karen Tarjan based on Michael Shaara's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel about the Battle of Gettysburg.
