Chris Jackson, Willie Reale Among Creative Arts Daytime Emmy Winners

Amongst the winners were several with Broadway backgrounds: Bill Sherman (composer) and Chris Jackson (lyricist) for Sesame Street's original song 'What I Am' and Willie Reale as a co-executive producer of The Electric Company on PBS.
2010 Daytime Emmy Awards Broadcast on CBS Today, 6/27

The Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards will be broadcast from Las Vegas for the first time on June 27th, 2010 over the CBS Television Network. 'It is with great pleasure that the Daytime Emmy Awards returns to the CBS Network,' said Herb Granath, Chairman, NATAS. John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean, the glow-in-the-dark family musical adventure about a trio of fish friends has opened a new block of tickets for sale on performances through December 2010 at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street.
2010 Daytime Emmy Nominations Announced!

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the nominees for the 37th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. Many of the major categories were announced this morning on 'CBS News' 'The Early Show,' by Bree Williamson (Jessica Brennan on 'One Life to Live,' ABC) and Travis Stork ('The Doctors,' Syndicated) including the naming of the Lifetime Achievement honoree, Agnes Nixon, the grand dame of Daytime serial drama.
New World Stages Adds Performances To Run Of IMAGINOCEAN, Kicks Off 5/10

With increased demand for the weekend performances, John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean is scheduling two additional shows on Saturdays at New World Stages, starting the week of May 10, 2010. New Saturday show times will be at 2PM and 4:30PM in additional to the current 11AM performance, offering convenient times and more opportunities for families with young children to see Imaginocean.

Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director), who brought to the stage the successful, seven season run of the children's show Maya the Bee, has announced a special, six-performance run of the acclaimed children's jazz puppet show The Cat Who Went to Heaven at The Harlem School of the Arts Theater (647 St. Nicholas Avenue @141st Street). Directed by Will Pomerantz, with music and lyrics by Nancy Harrow (creator of the Maya the Bee production), this delightful show is based on the 1931 Newbery Award-winning children's book by Elizabeth Coatsworth.
