Laoisa Sexton is an Irish actress, she studied drama in New York City and has worked in theatre, TV and film in the USA and internationally in the UK and Ireland. Theatre highlights include " 24 HR Plays" at National Abbey Theatre, Dublin, "Gaslight" for the Irish Repertory,
"Waiting for Ikea" First Irish theatre Festival Theatre, "Ladies & Gents" site specific for Irish Arts Center NYC, "Agamemnon on 43rd" at 59 E 59, "The MotherF**ker with the Hat" for Orion in Dublin,, "Long Days Journey into Night" at The Guthrie, "Shining City" at Studio Theatre, Washington DC, "The Prophet of Monto" at the Flea directed by Des Kennedy, "Oh The Power" directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman, aswell as performing in her own plays that she wrote that were produced OFF Broadway, New York "For Love" at Irish Repertory Theatre, that also toured to Ireland and Northern Ireland, "The Last Days of Cleopatra" at Urban Stages, NYC and Dublin, Ireland, it was also performed in Canada. "The Pigeon in The Taj Mahal" at Irish Repertory Theatre which was named in the NY Best Theatre of the year listings. Laoisa has appeared in "Fair City", Irish national shop and "Red Rock" for BBC, as well as many independent films in the US and Ireland. She performed and wrote and directed three short films, " I Didn't I Wasn't... I Amnt" opposite Aidan Gillen, where she won Best Actress Award, "The Lucky Man" which picked up three awards at the Bafta qualifying LOCO Comedy Film Festival in London for Best Short Film, Best Script and Best Actor. She recently completed her third short film called " I Can't Go On".
