New Online Initiative Launches on Ailey's Anniversary with REVELATIONS
The Ailey organization is reaching out to share the Ailey spirit with people wherever they are during this challenging time through Ailey All Access - an online streaming series featuring performances of full length works from the repertory, Ailey Extension dance classes, and original short films created by the Ailey dancers.
Fall In Love With Dance At Ailey Extension's February Workshops And New Weekly Classes
This February, Ailey Extension opens its hearts and doors for all novice and experienced dancers alike to celebrate love in various forms at special workshops and new classes. On Valentine's Day dancers can get their hearts pumping at a Zumba Valentine's Day Party with Jose Ozuna or celebrate romantic and platonic affection with a Valentine's Day Salsa Workshop led by Baila Society. A Father-Daughter West African Dance Workshop with Imani Faye lets parents and kids embrace love of family, and a Celebrating Brasilian Carnaval with Danielle Lima and Janete Silva encourages a passion for culture and tradition. Pose actors Dominique A. Jackson and Jason Rodriguez return for a Runway & Vogue Workshop to help participants practice self-love and confidence while a Move Your Curves workshop with Pretty BIG Movement creates space for students to exercise self-love and body positivity.

Nuclear Follies will have a limited run to add some laughs through the midterm elections, it will begin performances on November 1 and run through November 7, 2018. The School of Theatre at Florida State to Stage LEGALLY BLONDE
Omigod you guys! Elle Woods is bringing pink and lots of it to the Fallon Stage in Legally Blonde directed by Tom Ossowski. Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the hit Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture, sorority girl Elle Woods takes on Harvard Law School in an attempt to win back the love of her life. There, she must use her brains and beauty to defend famous fitness instructor Brooke Wyndham, who has been accused of murder. Along the way she discovers that true love only finds us when we learn to truly love ourselves. Featuring a book by Heather Hach with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, Legally Blonde is sure to "bend and snap" its way into the hearts of audiences!

Aiming to become a community anchor with the capacity to unite theater professionals, students and local residents of all ages, New Haarlem Arts Theatre, the professional theater company of City College of New York (CCNY), presents its first play for young audiences, 'Flying Fables,' adapted by Obie-winner Stephanie Berry, directed by John-Martin Green with choreography and staging by Bruce Hawkins, and original music by Patricia Ju from tonight, July 14 to July 27 at Aaron Davis Hall, 135th Street and Convent Avenue.
New Haarlem Arts Theatre Presents 'Latina's Tale' SWEET CHARITY, 7/26-8/19
The Latino spirit is alive in New Harlem Arts Theatre's upcoming production of 'Sweet Charity,' directed by Julio Agustin, to be presented July 26 to August 19 at CCNY's Aaron Davis Hall, 135th Street and Convent Ave. The characters of the classic sixties musical will be re-envisioned to reflect the changing roles of Latinos in our society while the traditional music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon will be preserved. The 1966 Broadway tuner was originally conceived, staged and choreographed by Bob Fosse. Director Julio Agustin has tapped choreographer Lainie Munro for the job of nestling his radical new concept into Fosse's formative jazz dances.

New Haarlem Arts Theatre Sets Second Season: MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM, SWEET CHARITY and More
This summer, New Haarlem Arts Theatre (NHAT), the professional theater company of City College of New York (CCNY), has expanded its programming and will present mainstage productions of 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom' and 'Sweet Charity,' as well as a show for young audiences and a readings series. The theater, led by Eugene Nesmith, is entering its second season and will again be in residence at Aaron Davis Hall, located at W. 135th Street and Convent Avenue, Manhattan (Hamilton Heights).
