BIO
Spanish filmmaker and videoartist based in New York, she merges cinematic arts, dance, music, theater and visual arts. Recipient of many awards including KrTU Young Creators, Conca grant and Kodak & Color Lab award for Best Cinematic Film for “Under Influence”, she also directed “Invisible”, “Singularity”, “Is There an Edge of Belief?” presented in festivals worldwide. Her artwork includes multimedia theater and installation performances “Mapping Moebus” (La Mama NY), “Playing Equality”, “Walk”, “Shifting Gaze” performed in the US and Europe. Award-winning writer, composer, she also edited “Cachao” with Andy Garcia (PBS’s American Master) among other feature films. Nimbus Dance Performs JERSEY CITY NUTCRACKER
For the 10th consecutive year, NimbusPRESENTS the local holiday favorite: Jersey City Nutcracker. Set to Tchaikovsky's renowned orchestral score, Jersey City Nutcracker tells the story of two children's city adventure, following them through fantasy, adversity, and celebration, with lessons about friendship and community along the way. This year's performances once again features two exciting components: video mapping and projection designed by award-winning video artists Laia Cabrera & Isabelle Duverger. Also included will be a pre-show Winter Carnival with games, concessions, and craft vendors.
