Talisman Theatre Presents The English Montreal Premiere Of David Paquet's WILDFIRE Next Month
Wildfire is a tragicomedy as fiercely dark as any from classical Greece. Structured as a generational triptych, it is set in a triplex inhabited by twisted triplets with a toxic family heritage. In this magnificently constructed spiral of fatality, multiple award-winning playwright David Paquet attacks our failing collective consciousness and the ensuing general apathy.
The Eternal Ego Festival Announced
The new programming venture will showcase nine conceptual adaptations of multi-character works, in which all roles will be played by a single actor, and in two cases by two actors, using in-person, virtual or hybrid platforms. Works will premiere gradually over the next two seasons, alongside TIFT’s regular scope of programming.

Pi Theatre Presents Livestream of its PROVOCATEURS PRESENTATION SERIES
Pi Theatre will present its 2021 Provocateurs Presentation Series with Macbeth Muet, an innovative interpretation of Shakespeare’s play performed by two actors using elaborate sound design, physical theatre, and the manipulation of inanimate objects to represent the play’s characters.
Vital Intercultural Theatre Grants $490, 400 To 31 Local Companies
The Cole Foundation is pleased to announce the latest grant winners for the Intercultural Conversations-Conversations Interculturelles (IC-CI) programme, initiated to encourage greater understanding of Montreal's cultural mosaic by having audiences enjoy professional plays that present stories and issues of diversity on stage. For the past ten years the Foundation has focused on intercultural and racialized theatrical conversations for their community initiatives. This has created an award-winning catalogue incorporating themes of inclusion and cultural dialogue. Adding to those, the programme has now expanded to include stories with and about other marginalized communities such as LGBTQ and people with a disability. This year $490,400 was granted, the highest amount of award money since the IC-CI programme's launch.

Puzzle Piece presents The Little Prince: Reimagined - a fresh, high-energy, modern adaptation of the classic novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. It's the familiar tale of a pilot who encounters a mysterious boy after he crashes his plane in the desert, told anew through object puppetry. You'll never look at a paper plane the same way again.
