Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana celebrates its 35th anniversary season with a program of new works featuring the New York premiere of Mujeres Valientes by internationally renowned flamenco artist Belén Maya and dances by three up-and-coming choreographers from Spain: Emilio Ochando, José Maldonado, and Guadalupe Torres. Tomas, a fierce and feminine NY-based Flamenco artist, will direct her company of five dancers, two singers and three musicians in a show that promises to be true to her vision of upholding Flamenco's traditions while also pushing its boundaries and giving it a distinctive New York City feel.

Momentum Dance to Host 7th Annual Miami Dance Festival
The Momentum Dance company is hosting the 7th annual Miami Dance Festival from 4/9 through 5/29 featuring performances by seven dance companies and special guests displaying diverse international dance styles, all sharing a common passion for the art. Returning to the festival this year is a performance of Obamanomics, an encore of last year's popular contemporary dance work satirizing the economic crisis. The festival will also feature awards, lectures, film, parties and social events.
