Written and performed by Adrian Lukis and directed by Guy Unsworth, Being Mr Wickham brings us into the world of the infamous Pride & Prejudice character after his 60th birthday, having withdrawn from the festivities to a quiet space. But, suddenly, Wickham looks into the audience, acknowledging us and telling us, “When play stops, old age begins.'

Adrian Lukis Will Lead the London Premiere of BEING MR WICKHAM at Jermyn Street Theatre This June

Adrian Lukis who starred in the renowned BBC TV adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, returns to the role of Mr Wickham in the London premiere of Being Mr Wickham, presented by Original Theatre at Jermyn Street Theatre from Wednesday 5 June to Saturday 22 June 2024.

League of American Orchestras Reveals New Board Members

Pamela Carter, Jamei Haswell, John M. Loder, and Mitch Menchaca have joined the League of American Orchestras' Board of Directors; each will serve a three-year term. Marian Godfrey and Jesse Rosen were elected to the League’s Emeritus Board. The board’s officers for 2023-24 are Douglas M. Hagerman, Chair; Aaron A. Flagg and Alan Mason, Co-Vice Chairs; Chris Doerr, Treasurer, and Melanie Clarke, Secretary.

Review: ES & FLO, Kiln Theatre

There are some things we don’t see enough in theatre. A few of these are: stories about women who love women and roles for older female-identifying actors. When these two come together, beauty often happens. Es & Flo is exactly this. Written by Jennifer Lunn, it follows Es’ condition as it threatens the life she’s built with Flo. It’s a stark reminder of the legacy of senior members of the LGBTQ+ community, a testimony of the survivors who fought for those rights that are still under threat today. It’s a harrowing celebration of lesbian romance.

A week after Windrush Day saw Prince William and his wife visiting the National Windrush Monument at Waterloo Station, two children of the Windrush generation are at the heart of Roy Williams's new piece.
