On the heels of the renovations at the AMT Theater, producers Tom D’Angora and Michael D’Angora will be calling the space “home” in 2023. The duo is behind several long running off-Broadway hits including NEWSical the Musical, Naked Boys Singing, and A Musical About Star Wars and more.

The annual Playwrights for a Cause will be Sunday, July 24th at 7:30 pm at the Atlantic Theatre (Linda Gross Theater), 336 West 20th Street, NYC 10011. Founded and curated by Glory Kadigan, Playwrights for a Cause is the annual benefit hosted by Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. This year the event will benefit this important group - New Yorkers Against Gun Violence.
American Theater Company Announces 2016-17 Season
American Theater Company (ATC) proudly announces Season 32, led by its newly appointed Artistic Director Will Davis and continuing the theater's dedication to developing new works. The 2016-17 season kicks off this September with the world premiere of Dan Aibel's T., an exploration of the competitive ice skating saga between Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding, directed byMargot Bordelon, Sept. 23-Oct. 30, 2016. In the New Year, ATC presents Jaclyn Backhaus' Men On Boats, making its regional premiere at ATC Jan. 6-Feb. 12, 2017, under Will Davis' direction after he remounts his acclaimed New York production Off Broadway at Playwrights Horizons this summer. Next spring brings another world premiere at ATC, Basil Kreimendahl's We're Gonna Be Okay, March 17-April 23, 2017. The production is directed by Bonnie Metzgar and was originally developed at ATC in collaboration with The Araca Group during AracaWorks: Chicago 2015. The final production of ATC's 2016-17 Season is a reimagined classic, Pulitzer Prize winner Picnic by William Inge, under Davis' direction May 19-June 25, 2017. American Theater Co & Araca Group Partner for New Play Workshop
American Theater Company (ATC) announces the second year of AracaWorks: Chicago, a new play development workshop in partnership with New York's The Araca Group, Broadway producers of Disgraced, Urinetown, Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, The Wedding Singer, Lend Me a Tenor, and A View from the Bridge. AracaWorks: Chicago emerged from a collaboration that led to the development of Disgraced by Ayad Akhtar, which received the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a 2015 Tony Award nomination for Best Play. The program gives three playwrights a weeklong development opportunity at ATC, culminating in a weekend of private readings-with one of the three plays selected to receive a year of development attention.

Flashpoint Theatre Company Presents World Premiere of THE BENDS, Beginning 3/13
Flashpoint Theatre Company dives deep into their 2012-2013 season, titled XX, as the company presents the World Premiere of Megan Mostyn-Brown's The Bends. Flashpoint is setting out to explore the lives and issues women face this season and The Bends is an explosive way to kick the theme off. The Bends follows the company's holiday show and their Barrymore and Brown Martin Award winning World Premiere of Slip/Shot.
