PA Performing Arts for Young Audiences (PAPAYA) wraps up its 2015 International Series with an appearance by spoken word artists The Mayhem Poets. Inspiring audiences with the power of language, these beat box bards take center stage as part of PAPAYA at the Bride, an International Family Series presented in partnership with the Painted Bride Art Center. The Mayhem Poets will have seven performances, including three school matinees today, May 13-17.

WHBPAC to Present SLAM POETRY by Mayhem Poets, 12/10-11
As part of its School Day Performances Series, the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center presents Slam Poetry by the Mayhem Poets, a trio of "spoken word" poets, on Tuesday, December 10 at 10am & 12:30pm and on Wednesday, December 11 at 10am. The performance is for young people ages 12 - 18 and runs about 50 minutes. All tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling Cheryl Wheeler at 631-288-2350, ext 102.

Formed in 2000 by Rutgers University students Kyle Sutton and Scott Raven Tarazevits as an "open-mic" forum, Mayhem Poets melds contemporary world issues, dynamic hip-hop artistry, spoken word and audience participation into a nationally renowned theatrical performance that the New York Times calls 'an amazing ride.'
