In all productions, Kyle brings a fierce dedication to livable, sustainable #WageDignity and the creation of an entertainment industry culture of economic justice that radically defends the position that entertainment as a viable profession isn’t denied to anyone.

As an artist, he has performed in nearly all 50 states and is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association, SAG-AFTRA, and the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA). Audiences have enjoyed favorites such as Robert in COMPANY, Scapin in Moliere's SCAPIN (THE SCAMS OF SCAPIN), the just-out-of-reach Steve in the hit INTERNET DATING - THE MUSICAL, and of course "the ultimate Rock n' Roll icon and ambassador to the beyond", Father Time in the hugely successful EVEL KNIEVEL - THE ROCK OPERA. Never to be pigeon-holed, Kyle led a heroic, yet ill-fated assault in the George Clooney-helmed feature film, LEATHERHEADS and chewed the scenery on the NBC soap opera, PASSIONS, and cooked up intrigue on the CBS soap opera juggernaut, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Kyle also starred in and co-wrote/developed the independent feature, THE WICKSBORO INCIDENT - available on streaming platforms and online! Kyle holds an MFA in Creative Producing (with mark of Distinction) from the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University, and is a founder of Ipso Facto Theatricals in Los Angeles, and a founder of the acclaimed Culver City Public Theatre. As co-artistic director, he helmed the organization for five years, during which time he created the much-loved Children's Popcorn Theatre series.

BWW Review: The Con is On with DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS at Musical Theatre West

The con is on! With plenty of wit, charm, and double entendres galore, Musical Theatre West's new regional production of the 2004 Broadway musical comedy 'DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS' is one enjoyably silly romp. The show which features a book by Jeffrey Lane and music and lyrics by David Yazbeck continues its final weekend at the Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts in Long Beach through July 24. Based on the 1998 film comedy starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine, the stage adaptation eventually garnered 11 Tony nominations during its run. For MTW's fun new local revival, the title roles---a couple of con men who've taken to swindling the riches off of easily-seduced women in the French Riviera---are embodied by stage vets Davis Gaines (now a multiple fixture at MTW) and the incredibly funny Benjamin Schrader (The Book of Mormon).
BWW Review: MTW Delivers Great Big Stuff with DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS

Based on a 1980s film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is terribly silly and much of the dialogue & lyrics imbued with an overabundance of sexual innuendos, but that's AOK, as this is not Stephen Sondheim, but a jazzy, feel good, laugh out loud type of show. As many times as I've seen it, I always fall directly into the trap...like most audience I'm hooked, especially if the two male leads are properly cast. In this new production at MTW, Davis Gaines plays Lawrence Jamison, the king of cons, and could not be more perfect. At his side is Benjamin Schrader as Freddy Benson, the rubber-faced comedic schmuck who pleads with Jamison to take him on and teach him the ropes, the tricks of the trade. These two head up a glorious cast under the uber skilled direction'choreography of Billy Sprague Jr., and what results is a triumphant hit for MTW... through July 24 only.

BWW Reviews: Fringe Review: THE WEREWOLVES OF HOLLYWOOD BLVD Rocks the Fringe

I have to say...I really loved this crazy new rock musical. In my book, it's the kind of show that embodies all that is best about the Fringe, with its unconventional characters, sly direction (by Aaron Lyons), pert choreography (by Michelle LaVon), and wicked twist on a relevant message.

BWW Reviews: Troubies' RUDOLPH Lights Up Falcon Stage

There is quite frankly no other theatre company in LA like the Troubadour Theater Company or as they like to be nicknamed the Troubies. Therefore, any comparisons are invalid. They compose and perform to the tune of their own drummer to such a high degree of professionalism that their reputation precedes them. Their runs are always sold out in advance. They are that good, indeed! And like most unique groups, they do not rest on their laurels. They aim to do better. Now onstage at the Falcon Theatre through January 13, 2013, the Troubies are slaying the legend of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to the music of the Doors in the aptly titled Rudolph the Red-Nosed ReinDOORS, and with their true sense of cockeyed unison and never say die, the message of Christmas rings out loud and clear once more.
