Kyle Nudo is a multi-talented artist and artivist with international theatrical, film, and event producing experience. He specializes in highly stylized, socially-impactful works and is the founder and Creative Director of Ipso Facto Theatricals, and in 1998 he co-founded the Culver City Public Theatre, committed to providing high-quality, free-of-cost classical theatre to the community of Greater Los Angeles. His specialties are new musical theatre works, re-invented classical theatre and children’s theatre, and visually-stunning theatrical events.
His recent production credits feature the sold-out smash production of The Ballad of the Cosmo Café in London. Kyle’s Halloween Hullaballoo, the high-octane Rock n’ Roll horror/circus cabaret series has been thrilling audiences in Los Angeles since 2012. In the UK, Kyle has worked for the Donmar Warehouse on Sweat and Europe, for Lyric Hammersmith Theatre on Leave to Remain, Ghost Stories, and The Animals and Children Took to the Streets, and has worked with Adam Blanshay Productions making works on the West End and UK touring scene. In the US, Kyle has produced over 40 productions including All’s Well That Ends Well, The Government Inspector, The Scams of Scapin, The Cherry Orchard, The Braggart Soldier, An Enemy of the People, Private Lives, and created both the Children’s Popcorn Theatre series and its inaugural production of Rumpelstiltskin. He has also created and filmed three short theatrical films and created the feature film The Wicksboro Incident. Kyle’s work has garnered awards and nominations from Broadway World, the LA Weekly Theatre Awards, Stage/Scene LA, the Hollywood Film Festival, and New York Film and Video Festival.
In all productions, Kyle brings a fierce dedication to livable, sustainable #WageDignity and the creation of an entertainment industry culture of economic justice that radically defends the position that entertainment as a viable profession isn’t denied to anyone.
As an artist, he has performed in nearly all 50 states and is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association, SAG-AFTRA, and the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA). Audiences have enjoyed favorites such as Robert in COMPANY, Scapin in Moliere's SCAPIN (THE SCAMS OF SCAPIN), the just-out-of-reach Steve in the hit INTERNET DATING - THE MUSICAL, and of course "the ultimate Rock n' Roll icon and ambassador to the beyond", Father Time in the hugely successful EVEL KNIEVEL - THE ROCK OPERA. Never to be pigeon-holed, Kyle led a heroic, yet ill-fated assault in the George Clooney-helmed feature film, LEATHERHEADS and chewed the scenery on the NBC soap opera, PASSIONS, and cooked up intrigue on the CBS soap opera juggernaut, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Kyle also starred in and co-wrote/developed the independent feature, THE WICKSBORO INCIDENT - available on streaming platforms and online! Kyle holds an MFA in Creative Producing (with mark of Distinction) from the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University, and is a founder of Ipso Facto Theatricals in Los Angeles, and a founder of the acclaimed Culver City Public Theatre. As co-artistic director, he helmed the organization for five years, during which time he created the much-loved Children's Popcorn Theatre series.
