BWW Reviews: Enjoy the Spectacular A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

Vintage Theatre revives their award winning rendition of Tennessee Williams' A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE playing now through September 7th. Set against the steamy backdrop of New Orleans' gritty French Quarter, Tennessee Williams' 1947 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama tells the story of Blanche Dubois, a faded Southern belle driven to madness by her animalistic brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski. Taking refuge from her crumbling past, the fragile yet determined Blanche arrives unexpectedly at her married sister Stella's doorstep, hoping for a better life and restoration of her senses.

Miners Alley Playhouse Presents THE MEMORY OF WATER, 4/19-5/26
Teresa, Mary and Catherine come together before their mother's funeral. The three each have different memories of the same events which inevitably causes them to bicker about whose memories are true. The sisters' memories - recalled as they are in all their inaccuracies, almost interact with each other, and show that despite synchronicities of time and place the people involved in the incidents of the past cannot agree on the facts of a unified experience.
