YOUNG ARTISTS OF AMERICA: THE SONGS OF TIM RICE to Air on MPT This June
The broadcast premiere of Young Artists of America: The Songs of Tim Rice, airs on Maryland Public Television (MPT) Thursday, June 1 at 8 p.m. Filmed recently at MPT's Owings Mills studios, the program features symphonic, dance, and vocal performances of lyricist Sir Tim Rice's musical theater and movie hits by the Bethesda-based group, (YAA). YAA consists of students from more than 80 schools in Maryland, northern Virginia and the District of Columbia. The one-hour television special includes the talents of some 150 area students, and is hosted by Sir Tim Rice.
Young Artists of America Presents: THE WIZARD OF OZ IN CONCERT, 10/29
The performance will take place on October 29th at 4pm at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. It will feature narration by Host and Moderator of WETA's Around Town and SiriusXM's Symphony Hall, Robert Aubry Davis, as well as 120 students from across the DC-Metro area who comprise the Young Artists of America Orchestra and Vocal Ensemble.

Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) is proud to announce its 2016-2017 season, beginning this fall with The Wizard of Oz in Concert, featuring narration by WETA and SiriusXM's Robert Aubry Davis on October 29th. The fully orchestrated concert is based on the 1900 novel by L. Frank Baum, with music and lyrics from the 1939 MGM motion picture score by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg.
Young Artists of America at Strathmore Announces its 2016-17 Season
Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) is proud to announce its 2016-2017 season, beginning this fall with The Wizard of Oz in Concert, featuring narration by WETA and SiriusXM's Robert Aubry Davis on October 29th. The fully orchestrated concert is based on the 1900 novel by L. Frank Baum, with music and lyrics from the 1939 MGM motion picture score by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg. Next, on March 12th, 2017, YAA will present the world premiere production of The Circle of Life: The Songs of Tim Rice in Concert, created specifically for YAA by Hugh Wooldridge with special participation by Sir Tim Rice. In the spring, YAAjunior, YAA's new program for middle school singers, dancers and actors, will present Disney's The Lion King Experience on May 20th, 2017.

On Sunday, March 13th at 4pm, Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) presented the youth premiere of the new symphonic version of Children of Eden by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin and The Prince of Egypt). Schwartz himself worked as a guest mentor with the YAA high school-aged students. The cast, full symphonic orchestra, and chorus will include over 350 youth from all over the DC Metro area including 250 younger artists from North Bethesda Middle School. The performance took place at The Music Center at Strathmore (5301 Tuckerman Ln, North Bethesda, MD).
Stephen Schwartz, Andrew Lippa & More Will Mentor Students During 2015-16 Young Artists of America Season
Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) proudly announces the lineup for their 2015-2016 fifth anniversary season that will feature prominent guest artists from Broadway. Award-winning Broadway and Hollywood composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin), Stage Director Noah Himmelstein (An Inspector Calls) and Broadway composer Andrew Lippa (Big Fish, The Addams Family, I Am Harvey Milk) will each work directly with local high school students during the upcoming season on their fully orchestrated concert performances at Strathmore and The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at University of Maryland. SHOW BOAT in Concert Set for 11/17 at Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club
Young Artists of America, Inc. (YAA), founded in 2011 by operatic tenor Rolando Sanz and Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras Music Director Kristofer Sanz, announced today its first performance of the 2013-2014 season, a gala concert version of Jerome Kern's seminal musical, Show Boat, on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club.
