KRISTINA RIEGLE is quickly establishing herself as an exciting and engaging actor and singer. Her theatrical career includes appearances as Desirée Armfeldt in A Little Night Music, Dinah/Nellie Forbush u/s in South Pacific, Soothsayer in Julius Caesar, Kathleen/Emma Goldman u/s in Ragtime, Consuelo in West Side Story, Storyteller in Children of Eden, Mrs. Potiphar in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Olga in The Merry Widow, and many others. In addition to her work on the theatre stage, Kristina also has an extensive background in opera. She has performed with The Kennedy Center, Washington National Opera, St. Petersburg Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, The Encore Musical Theatre, Resonance Works | Pittsburgh, Capital Fringe Festival, Cape Cod Opera, Reagle Music Theatre, Opera Providence, Fiddlehead Theatre Company, Page-to-Stage Festival, Boston Opera Collaborative, and Opera Boston.
Developing new work is a passion for Kristina. She has performed in numerous World Premieres including The Fall of the House of Usher, A Fire in Water, Christopher Theofanidis’ Virtue, and the play Soul Fight. She has collaborated in development workshops with such writing teams as Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, Richard Evans and Charles Leipart, Meron Langsner and Silvia Graziano, among others.
As a concert artist, Kristina has appeared as a featured soloist with a diverse array of companies and festivals, such as LaTiDo DC, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Tapestry Opera, Piccolo Spoleto Festival, Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, New England Light Opera, National Broadway Chorus, and Opera on Tap.
Kristina holds a Master of Music degree from The Boston Conservatory and Bachelor degrees in Music and Biology from the College of Charleston. In July 2017, she completed all three sessions of The Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) Vocal Pedagogy Institute of Shenandoah University in functional pedagogy and styles for commercial singing. She is an Adjunct Instructor in the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance at Wayne State University, and is the Acting and Voice teacher at Next Step Broadway Michigan. She also operates a private voice studio. Kristina is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association (AEA); the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA); the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS); and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA).
