DIARY OF A UKRAINIAN MADMAN Comes to the Finborough Theatre
The world premiere of Diary of a Ukrainian Madman or The Innocence of the Pangolins, a new comedy inspired by Nikolai Gogol’s classic Diary of a Madman by Ukrainian playwright and artist Liudmyla Tymoshenko, will open at the Finborough Theatre for a three week limited season on Tuesday, 13 August 2024.

Back in February, I witnessed something I've never seen in theatre before, even though I've seen many hundreds of shows. It was in the Wiesbaden Staatstheater in Germany, and the play was Ukrainian playwright Inna Goncharova's The Trumpeter performed in English by actress Kristin Milward. At the end of the performance, the mixed audience of Ukrainians and Germans rose slowly to their feet, weeping and cheering at the same time, and stayed like this for a very long time. It was extremely moving to witness.

The Finborough Theatre To Perform Live In Ukraine This Month
In a unique collaboration between the Finborough Theatre and the Pro-English Theatre, Kyiv, the Finborough Theatre production of Pussycat In Memory Of Darkness, performed by Kristin Milward, will perform in Kyiv, Ukraine, with performances at the National Les Kurbas Centre on 22 and 23 October 2022.
