The Flea Theater presents the New York premiere of Kristiana Colon's but i cd only whisper, directed by Resident Director David Monteagudo and featuring members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company. Previews start February 18, with opening night slated for Monday, February 29.

Victory Gardens Theater hosted We Must Breathe: A Response from Chicago Playwrights and Poets, a special event gathering members of Chicago's artistic community to share their views on discrimination, race and inequality and engage Chicagoans in a discussion about these social issues. We Must Breathe featured performances from poets and playwrights directed by Victory Gardens' Associate Artistic Producer Joanie Schultz, and a forum discussion on the performance topics, moderated by Congo Square Theatre's Artistic Director Samuel Roberson. Step Up Production Announces Full 2014-15 Season
Step Up Productions is pleased to announce its full 2014-15 Season - its first Jeff Awards eligible season! The season kicks off this fall with the Chicago premiere of Theresa Rebeck's new comedy DEAD ACCOUNTS directed by Jason Gerace (2014 Jeff Award, Best Director, Great Expectations). Then, Step Up rings in the holidays with the return of HOLIDAZE, a hilarious and heartfelt round up of original, holiday-themed short works by some of the industry's most talented young playwrights. Winter also brings the bold two-man show, HANDICAP THIS!, an honest and comedic exploration of living with disabilities. Chicago Slam Works Announces Upcoming Season
Chicago Slam Works (CSW) has announced its 2012-13 season packed with innovative collaborations and dynamic performances at a new location, Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark St. The season, directed by Artistic Director J.W. Basilo, features poets and storytellers facing off in 'Two Sides', October 10, 17 and 24, 2012, deceased poets challenging the living in 'Dead or Alive' December 5, 12 and 19, 2012, dancers and poets collaborate for 'In Motion', March 13, 20 and 27, 2013 and the season concludes when top German poets join Chicago poets in 'In Any Tongue', August 2 and 3, 2013.
