Seven Writers Join Theatre Now's Musical Writers Lab
Theatre Now New York, a non-profit artist service organization and theatre company dedicated to supporting musical theatre writers, has added seven writers to their Musical Writers Lab. The new members will join 27 continuing artists in the Local NYC and National chapters of the group.

How cool would it be to have a composer write a song personally tailored to you? Cabaret performers live for those tunes that tap into their truest essence and express exactly who they are as an entertainer. That is the premise and the purpose of MUSE MATCH, a concert of new works benefiting The Musical Theatre Factory. The founder of the event, Bill Coyne described it as a “musical theatre blind date.” Cabaret artists are matched up with a composer or composing team. They answer a series of in-depth questions about what believe in and what’s important to them as people, and voila! a custom-made song.
Paper Kite Arts Launches New Spring Classes, Including Free Sessions
This February, Paper Kite Arts will be launching a new series of virtual performing arts classes for students aged 10 to adult, kicking off with two free classes on February 6: Bring It!, a performance class for students 10-18 (1 - 2 pm ET) and Songwriting Structure for adults and teens (2:30 - 3:30 pm ET).
