A24’s CIVIL WAR (September 13) and I SAW THE TV GLOW (September 20) will debut on HBO and be available to stream exclusively on Max in the U.S. this September. CIVIL WAR, from filmmaker Alex Garland, tells the story of a dystopian future America. I SAW THE TV GLOW follows Owen, a teenager who is just trying to make it through life in the suburbs when his classmate introduces him to a mysterious late-night TV show.

The Academy Museum Gala will celebrate the acclaimed museum’s third anniversary and will honor Academy Award-nominated actor Paul Mescal; Academy Award-winning actress, singer, and dancer Rita Moreno; and two-time Academy Award-winning and six-time Academy Award-nominated writer and director Quentin Tarantino.

Lionsgate has announced the physical media release of Alex Garland's Civil War, which includes 4K UHD, Blu-ray™, DVD, and Digital platforms and a new six-part documentary. The film will be available to purchase on July 7. From filmmaker Alex Garland comes a journey across a dystopian future America, following a team of military-embedded journalists as they race against time to reach DC before rebel factions descend upon the White House.

Student Blog: Broadway Breaks Boundaries at the Oscars
Given the current events affecting our world, it is understandable that many of us seek an escape through theater and film. Due to the pandemic, the worlds of theater and film have begun to merge with Broadway artists and creators participating in their first major films, such as tick, tick… Boom and West Side Story. This past Sunday many of these films and artists received gratifying recognition at the Oscars Ceremony at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Thus, with the Oscars Ceremony coincidentally occurring on World Theatre Day, it only makes sense that Broadway won big at the Oscars.
