This year's series will showcase productions by Maggie Antonijevic and Troy Loftin, streaming via Zoom on Saturday, January 30 at 3 pm CST and Sunday, January 31 at 3 pm CST, respectively. This year's series will showcase two productions by Jasmine Sharma and Ellen Wiese on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 2 pm a?" 6 pm at The Edge Theater (Off Broadway stage), 1133 W. Catalpa Ave. in Chicago. Patrons are invited to attend individual readings a?" or stay for the entire afternoon. Readings are free but donations will be accepted. No reservations required. Lifeline Theatre KidSeries Presents MONTAUCIEL TAKES FLIGHT
Lifeline Theatre's KidSeries presents Montauciel Takes Flight, a world premiere family musical with book by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member James E. Grote, music and lyrics by Russell Coutinho, and directed by Aileen McGroddy. Montauciel's name may mean climb-to-the-sky, but for all her life the young ewe has been stuck on the ground. Then one day, her adventurous spirit carries her to the town of Annonay, where she teams up with the legendary Montgolfier brothers. Bringing her ingenuity and love of science to bear, Montauciel helps the two scientists invent the hot air balloon, and she soon finds herself captaining the first manned test flight, with a duck and a rooster as trusty co-pilots. Take a leap into the unknown and realize your full potential with this world premiere musical inspired by the story of the first living creatures to take to the skies in a human-made flying machine. This production is recommended for children ages five and up (children under two not permitted), and runs approximately one hour with no intermission.

The New York Musical Theater Festival and Rosie O'Donnell present MY LIFE: TODAY, an original musical October 5th and 6th at The Duke on 42nd Street. In 2003, Rosie O'Donnell and Lori Klinger founded Rosie's Theater Kids (formerly known as Rosie's Broadway Kids), an organization devoted to using musical theatre to enrich the lives of New York City public school children who otherwise have limited exposure to the arts. Seven years later, their stories and experiences have been transformed into an original musical performed by the students themselves. Centered around a single day in a high school, My Life: Today is a window into the vibrant lives of the city's youth.
