BIO

Kirk is the founding Producing Artistic Director of Stumptown Stages in Portland, Oregon. He previously served as the Associate Managing Director of Luna Stage Company in Montclair, New Jersey. As an actor, Kirk’s credits include the 1st & 3rd National Tours of Les Miserables (Marius), National Tour of Forbidden Broadway, and National Tour of Chess (Nikolai). Kirk was also a member of the Hamburg, Germany production of The Phantom of the Opera (Raoul) and the revival of Leonard Bernstein’s Mass at Carnegie Hall (NYC) and the Vatican in Rome., Italy (Descant). Kirk has been featured at various regional theaters, including: Gateway Playhouse, Bristol Riverside Theatre, Main State Music Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Virginia Opera, Couer D'Alene Summer Theatre, Carousel Dinner Theatre, Northern Stage Company, Mulenberg Summer Theatre, San Bernadino Civic Light Opera and Cazenovia Playhouse. He has also co-starred in the Hollywood Feature Film Untraceable (Carter Thompson), and TNT's Leverage (Charles Rushing). His Awards and Honors include: Spokie Award, Best Director "Miss Saigon"; Chicago's Jeff Award Nomination "Evita" (Che) at Candlelight Dinner Theatre; LA Times - most promising new producer - "The Fall of Ceausescu" at the Los Angeles Theatre Center; Drammy Award "Assassins" (Booth) at Artists Repertory Theatre; OTAS Award Best Director "On Golden Pond." Kirk has studied acting at the U.S.I.U, Cal State Fullerton and Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy. He holds a BS from Warner Pacific College and a Master's from Marylhurst University.
