ALONE TOGETHER: Solo Shows By Ann Noble & Sky Paley Come to The Echo
Two solo works by members of the Echo Theater Company are set for performances under the collective title Alone Together: Solos at the Echo. Conceived, written and performed by Ann Noble, Little Parts Hunts a Baby-Daddy will run Tuesdays at 8 p.m., March 15 through April 5. Created and performed by Sky Paley, Antiman can be seen every Sunday at 7:30 p.m., March 20 through April 10.
Trademark Theater Announces Season Five Programming
Trademark Theater announces its 2021-2022 season: a virtual reading of 5, JuCoby Johnson's newly commissioned play, in partnership with Playwrights' Center; Stone Baby, a rock music show and storytelling experience presented by Kiss the Tiger at Icehouse; a staged reading of Associate Artistic Director Tyler Mills and Artistic Director Tyler Michaels King's contemporary comedy, The Reunion: A Murder Mystery.
Rhinebeck Writers Retreat to Host Residencies for 23 Writers of Nine New Musicals
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat will host nine weeklong in-person residencies for 23 musical theatre writers of nine new musicals between June 27 and August 29. Writers include Tony-nominee Beth Malone, Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls; Jonathan Larson winners Avi Amon, Sara Cooper, Ty Defoe, and Anna Jacobs and more.
Playwrights' Center Announces 2021-2024 Core Writers
As the industry and theater artists grapple with equity and the many issues facing the field, the 2021-2024 Core Writers Mathilde Dratwa, L M Feldman, Franky D. Gonzalez, Yilong Liu, TyLie Shider, Deborah Yarchun, and Nathan Yungerberg will be given the space and support to create over the next three years.
