Trustus Presents LARRY'S BRING YOUR OWN DINNER DINNER THEATRE, 6/9

Trustus Theatre Managing Director Larry Hembree hosts Larry's Bring Your Own Dinner Dinner Theatre, Wednesday, July 9 at 7 p.m. at Trustus, 520 Lady Street in the Congaree Vista. Act I will feature the hilarious talents of some "lovely ladies" that were "kicked off the Lawrence Welk Show", with special Guest Patti O'Furniture. Act II will fill the air with wonderful music as the Dick Goodwin Trio takes the stage with some of Trustus' most popular vocalists. Trustus celebrates its 30th Anniversary season beginning in September and all proceeds to offset operating costs at theatre. There are also other opportunities to donate to the theatre whether you attend the event or not.
Columbia Children's Theatre 2nd Annual Benefit Performance Set for Today

Columbia Children's Theatre (CCT), the Midlands' only professional theatre for families and young audiences, will host its second annual fundraiser, Review Revue 2: Around the World with CCT, beginning at 6:00 PM today March 7, 2014. Tickets are $15.00 per person and can be purchased online at www.columbiachildrenstheatre.com. Audiences of all ages have enjoyed high-quality family entertainment from Columbia Children's Theatre for nearly ten seasons and this special event will feature many of the high points of the past 51 Mainstage and YouTheatre productions in a festive evening that includes hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and a silent auction with items such as a Gamecock football signed by Steve Spurrier, signed puppets made by Donna Harvey, summer camps, and more.

Stephen Sondheim (Sweeny Todd, Company, Into the Woods) and John Weidman's (Pacific Overtures) Assassins opened Off-Broadway in 1990, and a new revival script was produced on Broadway in 2004 winning five Tony Awards. Now, Trustus Theatre is bringing the award-winning revival of Assassins to the Capital City with an unprecedented cast and crew in tow. Assassins will begin knocking audiences dead on March 25th at 8:00pm on the Trustus Main Stage, and the production will run through April 16th, 2011.
