BWW Review: Mad Cow's PHILADELPHIA STORY is a Joyful Classic Comedy
I have to admit, I have a significant gap in my pop culture knowledge. I have never seen the movie version of Philip Barry's play THE PHILADELPHIA STORY, which starred Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and Jimmy Stewart, and garnered six Academy Award nominations in 1940. While I have seen a stage production Cole Porter's musical adaptation, HIGH SOCIETY (which was also a 1956 film), it wasn't until I saw Mad Cow Theatre's production (running through April 19th) that I truly appreciated the charming wit and sophistication of this classic high comedy. Under the direction of Aradhana Tiwari, Mad Cow's cast is an exceptionally talented group that will bring a smile to your heart, and just might bring a sentimental tear to your eye. THE PHILADELPHIA STORY is the most enjoyable Mad Cow mainstage production that I have seen.

BWW Reviews: Dazzling with the DREAMGIRLS at Mad Cow
The most striking thing about Mad Cow Theatre's production of DREAMGIRLS is the amount of sparkles on the costumes and the live band accompanying the performers. Few Orlando musicals use a live band because of logistics; however, with music written by Henry Krieger and lyrics/book by Tom Eyen, anything less than live music would be a travesty. Though the band is not seen, they are heard loud and clear.
Photo Flash: Mad Cow Theatre's PRIVATE LIVES, Playing Through 4/29
Mad Cow Theatre is currently presenting PRIVATE LIVES, described as a 'sophisticated, sexy, and sparkling production of Noel Coward's dazzling comedic masterpiece. Amanda and Elyot, once a glamorous and tempestuous couple, haven't seen each other since their divorce five years ago. When they meet by chance on a hotel balcony, their passion reignites - even though they are on their honeymoons with other people!'
