Civic Theatre to Close 2013-14 Season with URINETOWN, 5/2-18
Civic Theatre will present the finale to its 2013-2014 main stage season with the irreverent, laugh-out-loud Tony-winning musical, "Urinetown" opening on Friday, May 2 with performances through Sunday, May 18. Civic's Artistic Director William Sanders directs and choreographs this musical that won 2002 Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score and has been hailed as one of the most original musicals of the last 20 years. San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus to Open 36th Season with Annual CRESCENDO Gala, 10/13
San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) announced Crescendo: The Next 35, to kick-off its 36th season,Illuminate, on Sunday, October 13, 2013, from 12 - 3 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel (757 Market Street, San Francisco). After a successful 35thanniversary season, Crescendo provides a sneak peek of the chorus' next 35 years. The Sunday brunch includes a preview of selections from the upcoming season, which will be packed with enlightening world premieres and dazzling divas, in some of the city's most beloved venues. Morgan has apologized for his behavior saying: 'I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I'm not a hateful person and don't condone any kind of violence against others.'
