BIO

Kerry Ipema is an actor, writer and improviser based in New York. She is the co-creator and stay of One Woman Sex and the City: a Parody on Love, Friendship and Shoes. She recently toured with Post Secret; she is the writer and performer of Sex Ed; she is the creator of Lady Bits, a biannual fundraiser for Planned Parenthood; and she has performed with Accomplice, Woodshed Collective, The Flea, UCB, and The PIT.



Kerry grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and is a proud graduate of Indiana University. www.kerryipema.com

Broadway funny lady Julie Halston (Tootsie) paid a visit to see Kerry Ipema in One Woman Sex and the City, now playing at The Jerry Orbach Theatre (1627 Broadway). Halston has become a cult favorite among 'Sex and the City' fans for her hilarious portrayal of socialite, 'Bitsy von Muffling.' Bitsy caused eye rolls in season 5 when she married an assumed gay cabaret singer played by Tony-winner Nathan Lane. Much to everyone's bewilderment, Bitsy returned pregnant and glowing in season 6.
