The mythology of heaven and hell is one of the richest stories out there. In the new studio cast recording of Angels, the story is given yet another angle. Writers Ken Lai and Marcus Cheong (both share credit for the book and lyrics, with Lai also writing the music) tell a classic tale of good and evil from the perspective of Sera, an angel of light who longs to make a greater difference and becomes embroiled in a battle against Lucifer. Though uneven at times, the album does provide wonderful showcases for its talented cast.

Bill Leigon, president of Jamieson Ranch Vineyards since February 2013, has announced his purchase of the Napa winery, finalized on September 18, 2015. Purchase price was not disclosed. Bill Spear continues to manage all sales and marketing and was announced as the winery's General Manager and co-partner.

New Orleans, with no active pre-Broadway tryout venue since the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, has been given new hope in becoming a major theatre development center as early as next year, when the Australian-born Angels, The Musical, which created a stir with its New York debut in the New York Music Festival (NYMF), intends to develop, rehearse and tryout the musical in 2008 in both Shreveport and New Orleans prior to a New York opening.
