Nashville Ballet Announces Youth Cast For NASHVILLE'S NUTCRACKER
Local students will be helping the Emmy nominated Nashville Ballet perform their annual production of Nashville's Nutcracker this December. Running at TPAC December 9–24, this beloved holiday event allows aspiring artists from School of Nashville Ballet, Rejoice School of Ballet, and the Hispanic Family Foundation the opportunity to perform alongside Nashville Ballet's professional company dancers.
Theatre Works USA's PETE THE CAT Returns To The MAC
Following three sold-out shows in the 2017-18 season, Theatreworks USA's "Pete the Cat" is back. Based on the popular books by James Dean and Eric Litwin, this family-friendly musical comes to the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. This hour-long play is recommended for ages 3 and up.
The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation Announces Off-Off-Broadway Nominees
On Monday, July 23, 2018, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 14 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2018 nominees at its annual event, The IT Party. Celebrating fourteen years and thousands of nominees at le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleeker Street.
Happy Hour Improv Set for Broadway Comedy Club Every Friday
The Broadway Comedy Club and SGF Productions have come together to create THE NEW YORK IMPROV THEATER. Formerly THE RED ROOM, this 70-seat theater is still home to great shows such as LMAO Off-Broadway and Improv 4 Kids. And now they are home to numerous New York City based Improv Teams. Starting May, the room features 3-4 sketch and Improv troupes for a HAPPY HOUR showcase every Friday at 6:30pm. The club has waived all drink minimums for this series (Seriously a REAL Comedy Club in NYC foregoing its TWO drink minimum). In fact the $10 cover includes your first beer, wine or soda from the bar and the Broadway will be offering a number of happy hour drink specials 6-8pm.
The Adobe Theater Presents Drama MEMBER OF THE WEDDING, Now thru 11/16
James Cady has directed stunning productions of plays by Eugene O'Neill, Arthur Miller, and most recently his own vision of 'Hamlet'. His next project at The ADOBE Theater is Carson McCullers' drama, 'The Member of the Wedding' (which she adapted from her novella published in 1946), which opens tonight, October 24th.
