Pride Players Presents PROJECT 15, Now thru 4/6
In its fifteenth year, Pride Players continues to challenge teens to use improvisational acting to explore the challenges and successes of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and straight-allied teens in Omaha. The 17 teens in the show have come together to create and perform a collection of songs, poetry, monologues, and skits that explore a wide variety of issues, ranging from Midwestern stereotypes to gay marriage laws. The resulting show will be presented today, April 3 - 6 at The Rose Theater.

Following a successful launch at the New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF) in 2010, Artists WithOut Limits (AWOL) Theatre Project, Inc. announces the second annual presentation of 8Minute Musicals, a program that challenges emerging musical theatre writers and composers to create 8 original 8-minute musicals in just two weeks. An impressive collection of theatrical talents are strategically placed into teams and given a common theme as inspiration for their work. The freshly-inked pieces are fully staged, briefly rehearsed, then presented to the public on Monday, March 14 at the TBG Theatre.

Encore Theater Company is pleased to announce it's upcoming ETC'S BIG FAT CONCERT SERIES. This new concert series will supplement the company's current offerings of opportunities for new musical theatre development. The concert will feature songs from some of the country's most innovative new writers. Under the direction of Amy Leigh, theNOVEMBER 4TH concert features songs by Ryan Scott Oliver (recently featured on NBC's THE APPRENTICE), Drama Desk Nominees Joshua Salzman and Ryan Cunningham, local writers Alex Horton and Kelsey Celek, among others.
