The Actors Fund and Thomas Safran & Associates Break Ground on Affordable Housing & Arts Center - The Hollywood Arts Collective
The Actors Fund and affordable housing developer Thomas Safran & Associates, broke ground on The Hollywood Arts Collective, a $120 million project that will include 151 units of affordable housing for artists, the Glorya Kaufman Theater, rehearsal studios, non-profit arts office space and a new home for The Actors Fund Western Region Headquarters.

The Actors Fund today announced the promotion of Keith McNutt to Executive Director of The Fund's Western Region. Prior to running their west coast operations, a position McNutt has held since 2006, he served for a decade as head of The Actors Fund's HIV/AIDS Initiative in their New York office.

In its fourth grant cycle, the program focused on identifying model nonprofit arts organizations that cultivate and support artists and enterprises in the creative industries through capacity-building, accelerating partnerships, and/or fiscal support. Five grants of $25,000 each were awarded to the following nonprofit organizations:

The Actors Fund, the national human services agency that helps everyone in performing arts and entertainment in times of need, crisis or transition, announced today that it has received a 'Supporting Our Communities' grant from First Foundation, Inc. which includes both a cash grant of $5,000 and pro bono consulting to help The Fund's Western Council build its fundraising capacity. In addition, First Foundation, Inc. has generously sponsored three years of EVERFI's digital financial literacy training for members of The Actors Fund's Looking Ahead program, which provides programming tailored to meet the special needs of young professional performers aged 9 to 18 in Southern California. First Foundation Inc. (NASDAQ: FFWM) is a financial services company with two wholly-owned operating subsidiaries, First Foundation Advisors and First Foundation Bank.
