Meet the 2018 Bobby G Awards Outstanding Chorus Nominees

The Bobby G Awards celebrate outstanding achievement in Colorado high-school musical theatre. Each year, the DCPA NewsCenter singles out a specific category and spotlights the five nominees. This year, we salute the Outstanding Chorus nominees. The sixth annual Bobby G Awards take place Thursday, May 24, at the Buell Theatre.

BWW Reviews: 42ND STREET at Lakewood Cultural Center

Few shows capture the glamour and spectacle of the original Ziegfeld Follies as well as 42nd Street. The elaborate showgirl numbers and huge dancing choruses were the stuff of legend, and provided the inspiration for many gaudy Broadway musicals. While the show mocks some of the silliness of the original art, it pays homage to the core glitz and sparkle of the Ziegfeld productions, and keeps the audience tapping their toes throughout.

The first production in Town Hall Arts Center's 2013-2014 Season will be Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, book by Jeffrey Lane, music and lyrics by David Yazbek. Based on the film "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" written by Dale Launer and Stanley Shapiro and Paul Henning. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is directed and choreographed by Nick Sugar, Henry Award winning director of Town Hall's 2012 production of The Who's Tommy and 2010 Henry Award winning production of RENT. Musical direction is by Donna Kolpan Debreceni, Henry Award Winner, The Who's Tommy.
Town Hall Arts Center Presents THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Now thru 12/30

The next production in Town Hall Arts Center's 2012-2013 Season will be The Sound of Music, with Music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. This musical is directed by Robert Wells, choreographed by Kelly Kates, and with musical direction by Donna Kolpan Debreceni.
