Kentwood Players Presents SISTER ACT
Kentwood Players presents the musical SISTER ACT, Book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner, with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane. Music by Allen Menken, Lyrics by Glenn Slater. Performance dates are March 16 - April 21, 2018 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Performances take place at the Westchester Playhouse, located at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester, CA 90045. There will be a complimentary pre-show champagne and dessert reception between 7:00-7:30pm for season subscribers and their guests attending the Saturday, March 17 performance.
Phantom Projects Theatre Group's 9th Annual YOUNG ARTIST PROJECT Set for La Mirada Theatre, 8/8
Phantom Projects Theatre Group ends one season and begins another when they take over the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts on August 8th, 2015. First, the 2014/15 Season ends with the 9th Annual Young Artist Project at 2pm. Then, at 7pm, the 2015/16 Season kicks off with The Phantom Cabaret: A Benefit Gala Supporting Arts Education. Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill, Chief Sitting Bull, and Frank Butler will appear in Haven Academy of the Arts production of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, a musical with lyrics and music by Irving Berlin and a book by Dorothy Fields and her brother Herbert Fields. The family-friendly musical presents a fictionalized version of the life of Annie Oakley (1860-1926), a sharpshooter who starred in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and her romance with sharpshooter Frank Butler.
