BIO

Kathy Gail MacGowan serves as a director and dramaturg for new work, and has ushered over 12 plays to production and helmed many developmental readings. She has worked at 59E59, 14th Street Y, The Sheen Center, Symphony Space, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Here Arts, WorkShop Theater, among others. This October 2020, she is directing a life-streamed evening of songs and monologues for to benefit the Artists Relief Fund and Nuyorican Poets Cafe-which will include new work by Neil LaBute, Cheryl Davis, Crystall Skillman and Romy Nordlinger. She has worked as a guest director with The New York Company at NYU Tisch School of the Arts (Stella Adler Studio) and is a Drama League Directing Finalist. She holds a MFA in directing from The New School.
