Paul Bogaev And Gabriel Barre Attached To Musical In Development 38 MINUTES
The Hawaiian Missile Crisis is now being developed as a stage musical, '38 MINUTES,' by its conceptor and composer Holly Doubet, with playwright Joseph McDonough, and composers Kathy Babylon and John Vester. The musical will enjoy its first professional concert reading at the Sammons Center for the Arts in Dallas, Texas on December 9 and 10, 2021.
Ben Babylon Band to Play NAMM Show, 1/24
When the annual NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants) gets underway at the Anaheim Convention Center later this month, one of the performers will be the Los Angeles-based Ben Babylon Band (BBB). The BBB is an alternative rock group fronted by 15-year-old singer/songwriter Ben Babylon, an award-winning pianist and keyboard player, who is working on his first album with help from members of the Elton John Band.

There was standing room only when the Rock Nation School Tribute to Elton John, featuring three members of the Elton John Band and student musicians, drew hundreds of fans to the famed Canyon Club near Los Angeles on Sunday, September 26.

An upcoming Elton John tribute show produced by Rock Nation School will be as much a tribute to late band member Guy Babylon as to the Rocket Man, himself. Three members of John's band-lead guitarist and music director Davey Johnstone, drummer Nigel Olsson and percussionist John Mahon-will perform 'Goodbye Superman,' a song written in Babylon's memory by his 12-year-old son, Ben Babylon. Johnstone and Mahon will also play Elton John songs with Ben and other student musicians. The concert will take place September 26 at the famed Canyon Club near Los Angeles.
