FST Improv Reveals 2024 Summer Season

Florida Studio Theatre has announced the lineup for its Summer Improv Season, running from June 1 through September 28. With five diverse shows, including its annual Fourth of July holiday musical, FST Improv is bringing Sarasota audiences a wide range of improvisational styles and performances this summer.

This improvised musical romance is now playing and runs every Saturday and Friday, January 31 at 8:30PM in FST's Bowne's Lab Theatre through February 15.

Florida Studio Theatre's home Improv team presents When X Meets Y: American Revolution, a special holiday improv show celebrating Independence Day. Inspired by audience suggestions and three random notes on the keyboard, members of FST Improv will weave a story of love and laughter that unfolds during the American Revolution. When X Meets Y: American Revolution will play in FST's Bowne's Lab Theatre at 7:30PM on Saturday, July 6. Florida Studio Theatre Announces Its Fall Improv Season

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) announces its Fall Improv Season, which includes a brand new performance every Saturday, plus three special holiday-themed shows that will bring laughs, scares, and holiday cheer to Sarasota. The season kicks off on October 6 with FST Improv's classic comedy competition, Out of Bounds, where two teams of improvisers go head-to-head to compete for the most audience laughs. Out of Bounds runs every Saturday in FST's Bowne's Lab Theatre through December 22.

Florida Theatre-Inspired Short Film, 50 WORDS Makes Orlando Debut

Written, produced, cast, and filmed entirely local to Florida, '50 Words' will screen at the 2018 Saints and Sinners Film Festival, part of MegaCon Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center. Inspired by her experiences in the regional Florida theater-scene, the 28-minute narrative romantic comedy was written, starred in, and produced by Sarasota, Florida-based actor Kathryn Parks. Mark Palmer, award-winning cinematographer and southwest Florida-based owner of Mars Vision Productions directed the film.
