Mellon Foundation Appoints Jonathan Holloway To Its Board Of Trustees
The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has announced the election of Jonathan Holloway to its Board of Trustees. Holloway is the president-elect of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey; he will assume the presidency on July 1, 2020. He is currently provost and professor of history and African American studies at Northwestern University.

Featuring larger-than-life piñatas depicting a visual feast of Tex-Mex cuisine, from "nachos supreme" to "chili con carne," this site-specific installation, which is both playful and challenging, is intended to generate conversation about popular culture, the politics of food, and the Latinx experience in the U.S.

Allen announced her retirement after eleven years of service, the last four as Chair. The Foundation also announced the election of museum director Thelma Golden and investor Joshua S. Friedman to the Board of Trustees.
